Default Completely free registry cleaner

I've been told by various non completely free registry cleaners that my windows registry needs cleaning but they all demand money before they'll sort out my problems. where can I find a completely free cleaner that won't claim to be free then ask for money to fix more than one font problem?

Sorry, I get frustrated by lying software

Thankyou for your help

Mazey

there are a few websites where you can use a program to "post" your registry and a professional looks at it and tells you what to do to clean it up. Google it.

You're aware most of these "free" programs have hidden spyware/trojans?

BTW the guy that basically created the windows registry said it's pointless to do any sort of cleaning, as there is no real beneficial effects.

I run this once a month :-

It's totally free and spyware/virus free.

I agree with Devlin, CCleaner does the trick. Just be careful during the installation as it installs the Yahoo! toolbar by default.
